If they show the gas savings on the website only fair to also show the massive depreciation you’ll end up with on a POS Tesla. Any savings you get by not paying gas you lose and then some with the depreciation. Stay away.

Honestly, as far as getting into a used Tesla, insurance and tires make me most nervous. I have a strong feeling that my increase in insurance cost is going to outweigh my fuel savings. This is another reason I want Tesla to make that $25k car... they should outfit it with reasonably sized 16" wheels with a very common sized tire with many cheap options. Plus they should be much cheaper to insure.

I bought one of those used Tesla Model 3 and took it on a trip to grand canyon. Cameras are broken... so none of the great features of automation. 53k miles for 20.6k with the EV incentives. I found out in hot climate > 95+ F, the AC heat pump gobbled up almost 2 times the power to 474-600 (according to the power chart, that is also driving < 70 for the most part at 74 F interior set and outdoor temperature of 107). Manual control of AC + Fan4 + Tint gave the car max usage 174 to 219 (according to the power chart coming from flagstaff to phoenix on a down hill). Range estimated at 245 miles on down elevation (est. from 86 to 20 % with 162 miles total). I feel that 25k teslas are not necessary but I don't mind a single seat tesla vehicle.

Tesla Q2 deliveries will be absolute garbage. China is not shining, and Europe deliveries are plummeting from the edge of the map. US can not save Tesla's deliveries after that.

I’m not suggesting that it’s not a great thing to put out such a video, but the impression that this gives is that there’s a long list of faults that people might expect to find. The reality is that the vast majority of new Tesla’s are flawless, and you can probably spend less than half the time it would take to check all of this.

Im going through process now but in the Tesla app directions all it says is that my RN # and name must appear in memo line. Could not wait to get a Tesla, But now I found a Tesla is mot like a car of old. Tesla controls when you can sell the car so you dont really own it. Every thing you do say or go to is tracked and reported back to Tesla, you have ZERO privacy. You cannot repair a Tesla, hardly any mechanic will touch a damaged one. More and more places wont allow EV cars for fear of fire. Insurance is expensive for ICE cars, but astronomic for EVs. Maintenance costs are crazy for EVs, for just a battery and electric motor. I could go on. Now you could not pay me to have a Tesla. Especially my privacy is too high a price to give up.

Here in Canada only the short range model three is eligible for the $4000 provincial rebate in British Columbia. All the other models don’t qualify because they exceeded the threshold price.

You do save on gas n insurance. But pay more for insurance n tires. Overall probably save but gas saving gas are at least partially offset

Elon is just so gross.

Hertz sells ALL cars after two years. The narrative that Hertz is selling off Teslas because their electric car plan has failed is false. Their process sucks. They started with just the card key, no chargers at the facility, renters must charge before returning. Little to no instruction. But the biggest problem was that they bought at the very top of the market. Since Tesla dropped the price of their cars Hertz’s inventory lost 40% of its value. However if they bought new Model Ys at $38K, market to current owners instead of newbies it would be highly successful. Newbies should be required to watch a training video before renting for the first time.

Honestly I think taking delivery is the problem. This model 3 performance is taking forever I ordered it within the first 12 hours of it going live and now I'm July and August delivery date. Ryan you got to figure this out for us

I took delivery of my model 3 LR today, it only had a light scratch and one small flaw in the paint low down on the rear bumper that I may just end up ignoring. I drove home in the rain and noticed some condensation in the front headlight so I added that to the service appointment. Other than that it looks good.
